Way to download bought disc ps4

The only way I could think is to buy the digital version of game and sell the disc. But I'm not sure if I do that it's gonna work that way. I had Mafia III disc installed (but not played). When it was available on PS+ I added to that to my Library. But the game was still asking for disk. I had to delete the disc installation and re- download. @devianttea: I'm not sure why Sony made it this way, but you have to delete the disc version and download the digital version. I've done this with both Destiny games and a few others.
